Beef Tips Ep 3 - Be a Lifelong Learner

  • Mar 4, 2021
I had an experience changing out a busted pipe at one of my farms last weekend. I traditionally have not been a very good DIY guy. When something like this happens, I usually hire someone to come out and fix whatever issue I have. But something has changed in me over the last several years. I have found that I owe it to myself to take some responsibility and do the things that may scare me a bit. Being a lifelong learner is about humbling yourself and swallowing your pride. When you make a commitment to being a lifelong learner you are able to accomplish things you had previously written off. In this episode, I talk about the book Atomic Habits by James Clear. Find that book on Amazon here.

Episode 074 - Colorado Agriculture Under Attack with Senator Jerry Sonnenberg

  • Mar 4, 2021
This week we welcome back Colorado state senator Jerry Sonnenberg (R-Sterling). The good senator lets us know what's going on in Colorado agriculture, from a governor-declared state vegan day (with the encouragement for the rest of us to not eat animal products), a ballot initiative aimed at bringing state animal agriculture activities to a screeching halt, and an ag labor bill that would bring even more hardship on the state's number industry and exporter. As always, Senator Sonnenberg is well informed and apt at helping us understand why we cannot sit back and expect someone else to stand up for agriculture and that we must be the solution ourselves. Tune into this week's episode for some key insights and if you live in a different state, take heed. These types of attacks are only liable to continue as they find success in left-leaning states.
